I merged the seprate partions into one, and gave in to uploading pc wiz 2008 version. I want to make this my sister`s computer, and make my own computer sepratly.

bad news, high clocked Intel dual core, and all quad cores have that problem, unfixable. we just have to wait for PcWizard09 or find a new benchmarking program.

hehe i can see the point in upgrading the video, but the processor? you have a Q6600. but if you do upgrade your processor and are looking to unload it, give me a call |

lol well i just hope for higher scores. i'd start off with the video and see how it performs from there. fortuantly 2007 works fine so i'll leave 08 alone and stay with 07.

I would hop[e that the users with the more outrageous scores would upload the 07 scores aswell so we get some fair marks around here too

I emaild them about the scores . they claim they are accurate and recommended everyone using 2008 which is why kc switched the links. if you think about it 4 processors are gonna be better than 1 or 2 lol i do agree thoe that it shouldent make that much of a diference in the score. i think what we need is a 3dmark 06 list as well. because gaming is a whole diferent ball game
check my pc topic for more on this |

its probably because they combine the socres of them and just add them together. like seprate scores on the processors and then add them together. unstead of them all performaning at once

yea I know. but right now I don't need the graphics card. when I get another job I'll buy one. because to get a really good one (go big or go home) I need to buy a new power supply. I assume yours came with the nvidia graphics card? mine has just enough power for what it has

So a friend of mine got a new graphics card, so hes giving me his old one. I know that I need a bigger powersupply, but I don't know how much bigger. it'd go into this computer and the graphics card is a SAPPHIRE HD 4650 1G DDR2 PCI-E card. any ideas on what kind of powersupply I need?

It doesnt even require an external power source so i dont think it will be a problem, it peaks at like 149 watts so unless you have a psu at like 180 watts i dont think you need to change it... Im using 850 Watts for: Intel i7 2600k @ 4,6 Ghz, 8GB 1600mhz ram, AMD Radeon 6950 2GB in crossfire, 3 harddrives and about 8 fans so i doubt that that video card needs a better psu.
We used to call it enjoyment, now im not so sure

alright thanks, I only wondered because I only have a 220 watt in tis system (I think at least) and I don't know how to figure out what everything else uses. I'll put in the card this week when i fix my moms computer. that way if I screw anything up she won't be out of work :D

After purchasing a 550w power supply and finishing up on my mothers computer, I have installed the new graphics card and saw substantial improvements in everything except my pc mark score, I will look into that further later. but for right now Running Half life Lost Coast I use to run at 25 fps at lowest settings and now I get 80 fps with everything on high. so needless to say im happy with the card. but installing it was another story. This computer is not very user friendly when it comes to replacing a powersupply.

How it performs in your eyes is way more important that benchmarks. It sounds like you are happy a camper to me ;-}
